Unlocking Upper Crossed Syndrome: A Massage Therapist’s Guide
This class provides massage therapists with a comprehensive understanding of upper crossed syndrome, including signs and symptoms, anatomy, and biomechanics involved in this postural dysfunction.
Using this knowledge, massage therapists will be able to make an effective treatment plan, target the appropriate muscles to make an impact, communicate important information to client, and achieve the best possible outcomes for the client.
Knowledge regarding the standard treatment of this condition by other orthopedic professionals, and the role and limitations of massage therapy, will allow massage therapists to easily integrate their massage treatment plan as a part of a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

Clinical Orthopedic Massage for the Pectoral Region
The pectoral muscles play a significant role in many orthopedic conditions of the chest, neck, and shoulder and benefit from massage techniques applied to the area.
The pectoral region, however, is a sensitive area for both the massage therapist and the client to work on with massage therapy, due to the multiple endangerment or cautionary sites located in the region and the proximity to breast tissue.
This class increases massage therapists’ confidence in working these critical muscles safely and effectively, and to encourages massage therapists to regularly include pectoral massage into their treatment plans.
